Here are five things you can do today (and every day) for your heart.
Have you taken time to love your heart lately?
Heart disease is common, and it can be deadly. One in four deaths in the U.S. is a result of heart disease. Heart disease occurs when a substance called plaque builds up in the body’s arteries, causing them to narrow and restrict blood flow to the heart. This condition can cause heart attacks, heart failure, strokes, and more.
High blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes can all increase your risk of heart disease. But heart disease is also preventable! Exercising regularly, eating a healthy diet, and keeping your stress level low can help protect you from many conditions, including heart disease.
There are many things you can do to live a heart-healthy life. So show your heart some love!
